So I spent my 4 years pursuing an education degree, and to avoid student loans, I cooked my way through my college tuition payments. I decided ultimately that teaching wasn't exactly what I wanted to do with my life, and since I think it's one of those professions that you need to really put all of yourself into, I decided to stay in the culinary field for a few years. I spent 4 more years in the restaurant business, and after a detailed and thorough evaluation of what I needed to do with my life, I decided I needed to go back to school , this time to get my masters degree in Social Work. That pretty much brings me to right now: I'm waiting to start my masters program in the fall, and I've been spending some time with my family and friends, and working a little bit at the restaurant to pass the time. | | |
